First DIY project

I knew my wedding was going to involve a lot of DIY projects. I come from a family of crafters so there is no way we won't have about a 100 craft projects to do before the wedding. My mom is the ultimate crafter. She does or can do pretty much anything and my sisters well they are scrappers. You know scrappers right, like from the movie New in Town.

When I saw this movie, I died laughing cause so many things in it are true and those women sitting around the table are my sisters.

So when we first started planning the wedding, I started scouring theknot.com, weddingbee.com, and every other wedding site for possible gifts for my bridesmaids when I came across a small travel jewelry tote. It was just what I had wanted for myself a year ago but couldn't find one that I liked. THe one I had came across looked cheaply made and I wasn't impressed so I continued to look and look. I then came across some tutorials on how to make them. I spoke with my mom and she stated looking for them as well and even came across some at Marshalls, but I had it stuck in my head we could make them. Notice the we in that sentence. I then produced what I had in mind and was super proud of my little sample that I was going to send my mom. I didn't sew it but she would get the idea and since she is a master sewer I knew she could sew it all together if I was able to cut out the fabric.

Then my mom put together what she had in mind and that made my sample look like scrap material. Luckily for me my mom is the ultimate crafter cause these things look amazing and she has them all put together already. So that DIY project that I initially said we were doing turned into a 'Mom Project'.

Thanks to my awesome Mom I have one DIY project done. Now about 99 more to go.
